Daniel Whitcomb is a Managing Director at Siguler Guff and serves as the Firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Mr. Whitcomb is responsible for oversight of Siguler Guff's compliance program and all compliance-related initiatives. Prior to joining Siguler Guff in 2015, Mr. Whitcomb was a Vice President in the Compliance Division of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. During his tenure there, he provided support to GSAM’s alternative investments team, where he oversaw compliance of the private equity team and external manager due diligence. Mr. Whitcomb was also the Chief Compliance Officer for GSAM’s stable value adviser, GSAM Stable Value, LLC (formerly Dwight Asset Management), where he had day-to-day responsibility for the adviser’s compliance matters.
Prior to working for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Mr. Whitcomb was a Managing Director on the compliance team at Babson Capital Management, where he was responsible for compliance assessments and oversight of the firm’s advisory activities, as well as managing regulatory reviews. Previously, Mr. Whitcomb was an Associate Director in the regulatory advisory services practice at Navigant Consulting, where he evaluated the regulatory compliance programs of registered investment advisers, hedge funds, mutual funds, broker/dealers and various financial services providers, such as fund administrators, transfer agents and distributors. Mr. Whitcomb began his career in the investment industry in 1998 at Standish Mellon Asset Management.
Mr. Whitcomb holds a B.S. in Health and Fitness from Springfield College.
