Atsushi Horiike is a Managing Director at Siguler Guff.
Prior to joining Siguler Guff in 2017, Mr. Horiike was Co-Head of Institutional Sales at BNY Mellon Asset Management Japan, where he formed the marketing team for financial institutions and was responsible for raising significant assets. Before BNY Mellon Asset Management Japan, Mr. Horiike was a Managing Director at Gordon Brothers Japan, a joint venture company that promoted asset-based lending in Japan. As a founding member of Gordon Brothers in 2006, he launched a variety of business lines including private debt investments in Japanese distressed companies. Prior to Gordon Brothers, Mr. Horiike was a member of the Treasury Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation beginning in 1997, where he was involved in investment planning and legal documentation for capital markets products. He also worked in New York from 2003 to 2006 and initiated the bank’s proprietary investment activity in private equity and mezzanine fund investments.
Mr. Horiike received a B.A. in Faculty of Law from Kyoto University and an LL.M. from the University College London.
